Lesson 1: Analyzing Explicit and Implici...
These are notes for implicit and explicit ideas. They were originally written for Primavera Online Highschool English 11A, however, they can be used for any course that includes figurative language. These notes include examples, descriptions, and practice questions for the following concepts:
anecdotes, allusions, euphemisms, hyperboles, idioms, imagery, metaphors, oxymorons, paradoxes, personifications, and similies.
I also had to do 2 readings for this lesson (The Bean-Field by Henry David Thoreau and The Education of a Young Cheif by George Copway) and answer questions on those stories. Both of these are included in the notes, along with the quiz that I had to take.
Document Information: 13 pages, 5307 words, 6 practice questions, 13 quiz questions, 2 long answer questions.
