Introduction to Psychology notes

These notes cover chapter 13 Modules 2 and 4. These give a basic overview of social perception and cognition as well as, stereotypes, prejudices and proximity, and attraction. This covers pages 421-426 and 437-440

This chapter goes over How the brain interprets sensation specifically in relation to vision. It lays out important vocabulary and parts of the eyes. How our eyes detect color and light and tricks we can play on the mind such as optical illusions.

The chapter covers the basics and background information about the study of psychology. It goes into describing each of the different fields in psychology, giving the reader a good outlook on the different fields.

this provides vocabulary for chapters 4 and 7.

This chapter goes over the neurons and what actions they play and what they do and how they send messages to the brain.

This chapter covers how psychology used to be studied and how it is studied now. It goes over a few important people in psychology while explaining how that person studied or what they studied.
